Who we are

Nomad Pilot Life is a Nomad Ventures, LLC company run by AJ Weimer. Questions about this policy: use the contact form.

What we collect and why

Contact and aviation forms: your name, email, optional phone number and message, emailed to our own mailbox so we can reply. We don’t add you to a mailing list from these forms.
Flight Briefing sign-up: your first name and email, stored with our email provider, Kit (kit.com), to send the monthly newsletter, your discount code and your Flight Deck access. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
Spam protection: a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address is kept for about an hour to stop repeat spam. It can’t be turned back into your address.
Server logs: like every website, our host keeps standard logs (IP address, pages, browser) for security and troubleshooting.

The Flight Deck

The Flight Deck is a separate members’ app at /flightdeck/ with its own sign-in. What you save there stays in your account and is used only to run the app for you.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see which pages are useful and which buttons people use. It sets cookies and sends Google information such as the pages you view, your approximate location and your device type. Visitors in Europe and the UK are asked first. You can change your choice any time with “Analytics choices” at the bottom of every page.

Partner and store links

The trip planner opens Booking.com or Expedia through our partner network (Travelpayouts), and book links open BookBaby, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Apple Books or PayPal. Those sites have their own privacy policies. If you book through a partner link, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Cookies

The public site sets no cookies of its own. The admin area uses one essential sign-in cookie for the site owner.

Your choices

Ask us to see, correct or delete what we hold about you through the contact form. We’ll respond within 30 days. Unsubscribe from emails with the link in any email.

Children

This site is not aimed at children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
